looks good. get some qoutes on the real spoiler delete. takes away from the car. but spoilerless is the way to go over the stock gt wing. I'm having it done this summer hopefully.

They were done at the dealership. I told them that I wouldnt buy unless they threw them in at no charge. They are the stripes that they put on the pony packages.

DIY spoiler delete doesn't look too bad. FYI you might be able to find a lid at a salvage yard if you want the permanent solution.

I am still trying to decide if I want to go the permanent route or go with a new spoiler. At this point though I really like the delete over the other spoilers.

what exactly did u use to plug the holes where the factory spoiler mounted? id really like to get mine off of there but im hesitant to get them filled so your DIY would be a quick fix and it looks clean.

I used 3/8" nylon plugs that I got from Orchard Supply Hardware( you can also get them from Lowes or Home Depot). They are plugs that are used to fill holes in drywall I believe. You will have to drill out a couple of the holes as 2 of them are not circles but ovals. You will also need to use some silicone sealant to prevent water from getting into the trunk. Oh ya, and paint to color of course.

looks great. I'm just not crazy about the dealership stripes. I had them on my 05 for a while and after market stripes look much better IMO. Of course, I'm having some painted on my 08 as we speak...

I don't like the way the dealer stripes don't even cover the whole deck lid and the way they stop at the hood with that "taper".

Otherwise looks hot!

SpeedRacer, If you want the stripes to go over the bumpers you could have them made custom. I love the SHR Legend splitter. the spoiler delete is nice too. Is there anyway I could see some hi res pics? Using photobucket you could post a direct image link.

Normally I dont like when stripes stop on the hood like that but your car is one of the coolest looking S197's I have seen!!! It makes me with I had gotten a black car.

I keep coming back to this thread. I just love the spoilerless look you got going. I may have to push the spoiler delete to May or sooner. After I get some d-specs this is the next mod for sure!
