The Unveiling (Final Exterior Mods to Begin)
Looking great man. Only thing I would suggest is to also paint the center stack (the flat piece that surrounds the radio and ac controls) black to match the center console. It would tie it together without being "too much". Other than that, I'd say the interior was perfect.
+1, looks great.
What was involved in painting the console?
The console was primed with a thick primer, then they sanded it smooth. I'm not sure the paint mix used to paint it, but it was shot with other plastic parts. They then buffed the heck out of it after baking it. I'm getting the stereo/AC stack painted next.

The Aerotech hood pins are great, but from what I understand were a pain to install due to the curve in the hood. They came out great though.

Thanks everyone for all the props on the car. Come see it in person this weekend at AER Manufacturing in Carrollton, TX on Saturday. First show for me for of year.

Danny, two things. One, how do you like the new upholstery. Any comments on installation, finishing, like the look and feel? Did the shop say how long it might take for things to tighten up and the wrinkles go away? (still eagerly awaiting my custom set)
Second, please be sure to post pics from the show this weekend and let us all know how things went. Til next time...

The upholstery shop said it was pretty good quality. Of course they said theirs would be better. They put some extra padding in, and it's already tightening up.
I'll be sure to update about the show and send lots of pics. I finally washed it this evening, and found some paint issues. Hopefully "it'll buff out"

Danny, very nice work.
Just observed that your front grille is facing upward, try and make it face a bit of downward or have it "bow" a little bit.
That will improve the look.
Great car !!

Great car !!
Every mod you've added starting with your wheel/tire combo gave your ride a unique look. Its probably the most recognized S-197 anywhere.I'm surprised the vendors you got your mods from don't use your car for advertisement purposes.Well done!
Great looking car.
Where did you get your E-brake boot? The stock blow mold plastic E-brake is the cheapest looking thing in the factory interior and I have been looking for a nice way to cover it up. The billet handles do nothing to cover the cheap plastic lever they are attached to.
Thanks!
