Turn Signal Lenses

I am thinking that for my next mod. I would like to get smoked or clear turn signal lenses. I am kind of going for the greyed out look, so I was leaning toward smoked lenses.

I am wondering if I should do the rear lens at the same time or leave it red.

I am planning on getting them here

http://www.stangmods.com/Mustang-Cle...kers-s/157.htm

I am also at a loss as to which bulbs to go with

http://www.stangmods.com/Mustang-Ext...-com-s/106.htm

Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

One of my next mods will be the black front turn signal housings with clear lenses with chrome/amber bulbs. I think they match the headlights better than just clear or smoked lenses alone. Either way, anything is better than the orange.

On the rear lenses, I'd match those to whatever you decide to do up front.

Just my $.02

If you are going smoked amber bulbs will be just fine. It is what I have an you cant hardly see them. Mine also have amber reflectors to keep them somewhat legal. I looks very noticable in these pics but in person you hardly can see anything. I think it was the flash in the camera.

Your car will look hot with the smoked 2010 style taillamps available at American Muscle.com! These will look good and not look like overapplied nightshades tint.

I had a set of factory rear lamps tinted. They did the rear markers, 3rd lamp and tail lamps.

I would like to do this to my black stang too. I was leaning torwards the clear but now I'm wavering.

Where did you decide on getting your bulbs from? I found bulb numbers 3157 and 194.

You probably already have seen this install from stangmods but talks about the bulbs and walks you through every step there is. http://www.stangwriteups.com/mustang...ignal-install/

When I search for amber I find led clusters and regular bulbs. Has anyone used led bulbs for the bumper turn signals?

I ended up getting sylvania silverstar amber front bulbs with a red LED rear bulb. I was nervous about using LED's in the front after reading the info I received from superlumination. I was worried that they would not blink and no way do I know enough about electronics to figure it out.

Thanks for the link !
