Thanks to Mark (aka) original sin, and all his help with the MUSTANG block letters and his research into the proper placement, I had them installed on the trunk today

Nice touch. Would look better if that pesky third brake light wasn't there. Looks good though.

I agree. I vote that you get the CDC ducktail and then add the Mustang lettering. That would look great.

Still looks good though.

I think that looks great. Would never do it though. I had a 70 and those letters were a PITA to keep clean and polished up on the sides.
Invest in q-tips.

Same idea - different spacing. You are right - pain to keep clean... I paid $21 for mine.

Ford really shoud have put the third brake light at the top of the back window. Really would have cleaned up the look of the rear.

There is adhesive on the back - peel and stick. They also have the type with posts and you have to drill holes...

Stick on ones, yes that's the ones
and they stick pretty darn good

the ones with the pins would have to drill holes

they could have on the hardtops, but no place to put the 3rd b/L on a vert top

I totally agree....but I guess I'm partial. Great job Greg, they look perfect. Le'me know about the measurements compared to the original thing you have access to. The suspense is killing me!!!

A very nice touch, it never ceases to amaze me at all the ideas we stang nuts come up with, I went with a Mach 1 style rear stripe, but this looks really good on your car.

That is defiantly a retro good look. It’s amazing how many people take those letters off of their vintage mustangs for that smooth look. And now the S197 guys are embracing the look.
