Trufiber Venom Hood
Hey guys,
I am new to this site. I wanted to get some info on the Trufiber Venom hood ... For the guys that have had there hood for awhile how do you still like it?? Are there any problems that you have had??? cracking, peeling, flaking etc??? I am looking to purchase one of these hoods very soon and just wanted to see what I was getting into before I bought it.. The 3rd generation hoods seem to look nice but was curious as to how they held up... Any and all info would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks for all your help and info..

I can't answer for the "version-3" of the Trufiber Venom Hoods that come with the recessed area already made for the KR style hood pins, but as far as the "version-2", I love it.
If you haven't already, call Phil @ Trufiber (714.451.1444) and discuss any of your concerns with him. He is a great person to talk to and will help you in any way he can.

Here's a thread with lots of feedback on their hoods.

Call Phil or contact me with any questions. We have put on 4 different hoods so far on our 2 cars and it is amazing how much attention is drawn to the car with just one panel that has been swapped out. I have had no problems with any of ours and they still look good after all this time.

check out page two of this thread on another site. This is the gen 3 hood too. NO BRACKETS and easily attached.
I'm in the process of still deciding which way to go, but this way is by FAR the easiest.

Do any of you remember the size of the two bolts that attach the actual hood 'latch' to the hood? We started to remove the ones from my original hood and screw them into the Venom hood, but met with some resistance. That doesnt mean that they are not the right bolt, but we wanna make sure before possibly ruining the threads on the hood. If these are not the bolts any of you used, please lemme know what sizes you did use please.
