too bad for me...i couldnt wait for the true KR so i didnt go with the GT500 fascia
I'll take an SS hood over the KR hood.
hi everyone...post here or contact phil directly on our interest for this KR GT500 hood. if there is enough interest, he'll work on it...
i just thought i'd help move this along since i was so frustrated with shelby's lack of information i went a different route.
thanks all...

Nope that was based on how long it has taken them to get the standard KR hood out not to mention that my business is all about prototype and development from body parts to model kits we work with everything from clay to resin from prototype to the 1st production piece.
Even with an empty plate it would take 30 days for prototyping then approval then ect, ect, ect.
Now if they wanted to shell out the money they could push the time frame up a bit but your still looking at 90 days. A good fiber-glass guy will let the molds sit for 30 days before de-molding the master unless the molds are epoxy.
I'm just ready to buy now; I'm an impulse buyer and an impatient buyer I hate waiting other wise I would be all over their hood.

im the same way. But for something LIke this I will wait for an SS style to be made vs paying shelby $1800 plus shipping.. then paint.. hell thats a set of rims
Yes I will wait for the SS hood as well. But here is my official vote, Phil, you should make the SS hood.
I saw the SS and KR hoods side by side at the Mid America. The SS hood looks like a cheap fiberglass copy of the KR hood. The body lines did not flow as well and the edges not sharp and well defined. The KR had it all over the SS hood. On a Shelby front end.
Please build the KR hood. I actually find that with all the buzz that hood created in New York that none of the fiberglass companies have released one yet. There is REAL pent up demand for this hood on a Shelby front fasia design if someone can get it right.

im not sure what the minimal would be for phil to get to work on this..
but if someone is really into it, gather up the troops and hit up phil.
i would guess maybe 8-10 hoods would make this happen?
but i truly hope all of you interested in KR hood for GT500 front fascia get your wish!
thanks all!
