True Blue BULLITT

Just thought I'd throw this out there to show everyone. It's a little design study on what the BULLITT would look like if they had offered it in the "True Blue" option. I put a few extras on it that harkened back to the 1968 styling cues. Let me know what you think.

You can check out more info on the car at www.StreetClubTV.com we used this 2006 Mustang GT as a project car for the show.

Don't forget to put the windshield washer nozzles back on Looks pretty good but I see the site says it is one of a kind? Not sure I would agree as I have seen one just like it at a recent car show.

Good eye. There on there now. This was an early pic. I've also added a few "Bullitt only" parts to it. The faux gas cap, shift boot and ****, door sills and, of course, the grill.

The things I like about it are the deep dish rims, black out panel between the taillights and the Trufiber Hood.

That looks pretty slick. Any flutter issues with the hood yet? Could you post some more pictures of the hood?

Thanks.

I like it except for the hood. I prefer the boy racer hood.

I agree the other has too square lines.

I still prefer the stock smooth hood though. MRT should have their "'68 hood' out any minute now, we'll see what it looks like.

Nice Mustang. I'm glad though that Ford didn't produce a Blue one this time around.

I haven't had any issues with the hood. It worked great and was easy to intall. I would have liked the racer boy hood myself, but Phil at Trufiber was good enough to work with me on this.

I'm dying to see the MRT hood as well. Personaly, I would only have the Bullitt in one color, the Highland Green. We had the 2006 Vista Blue one available, so it just seemed like a nice "what if" project.

No pictures of it yet as far as I know, but it is supposed to replicate the '68 hood, including turn signal lights. It is also designed to accommodate the strut tower brace and area for the Bullitt/FRPP CAI.

You could also say it has to be a 68 fastback with a 4sp toploader, deluxe interior, and a 67 GT500 steering wheel. Considering there are blue and black modern bullitts out there I think it is a nice modern version.
