I know there has always and will always been those who hate an aftermarket sunroof on the s197... but i just realized i never posted pics of mine when I had it down last year. For those interested, I love it. LOVE it.

My dad has one... It dosen't pop up like that though... It just slides.. It leaks air just a little, but I still like it! I'll see if I can dig up some pics.

Nope, no leaks. Its electric of course so I don't have to do anything manually. I remember my days in High School, I had an 85 GT 5.0 with the pop-up sunroof. It was a pain to pop it out and put it in the back, but I still loved it.

This one is also wired to close and seal automatically when I turn off the ignition.

It looks pretty good ... Is the glass curved to follow the line of the roof when it's closed ?

If I did one it would have to go into the roof like a factory one does. Love the idea, but having it go up and out over the roof doesnt appeal to me.

That looks fine, and if you love it - great!

I still prefer this design!

Exactly. I've never owned something without a sunroof or convertible. Even if not to open it all the time. The shade being open is in itself a nice feeling.
