Stripes, what would you think about

Stripes, what would you think about
Grabber Orange or Tangerine Pearl stripes on a white GT vert with a parchment interior and top. The wife (her car, he he) thinks black stripes are the way to go. I'm not so sure. Thoughts?

Black stripes and a parchment top? I don't think that will work. Not entirely sure about the Tangerine, but there is possiblity for the GO to look good. Get a maching rocker stripe and it could look even better

I'm not a big fan of black skunk stripes on a white car(boss or c-stripes is another story), and orange would look like a camaro combo. I would think some shade of gold stripes would look classy with a tan interior.

I think blue would look good on a white car. I'd have to see an example of orange but doesn't sound appealing to me. Gold looks good on darker colors, again would have to see an example on a white car before I would be sold though.
Good luck.

Well, white stripes look great on GO, so I don't know why GO stripes wouldn't look good on a white car. With that parchment top though, I'd make sure you compliment that. I've never been a fan of gold stripes on dark cars for some reason, (too "trans-am" maybe). They might be OK on your white/parchment though. The question you must always ask yourself before striping is; do I want to be bold, or subtle? Then go from there. I agree the black may not be what your looking for. Black fading rockers would be a nice look though, (to keep mama happy). Do post pics when you get it done whatever you decide.

I'd go with blue on a white car. Personally, I think you want a lot of contrast (blue/white, GO/black, etc.), and I don't think orange will give enough contrast with white.
But it's your car, and it would be unique...

I think blue would look out of place on a white car with the tan top and interior. Black or gold would go much better with that color combo. If the interior were black, then blue would be perfect for the stripes.

Okay, this is something I do for a living. If you've got a parchment top about the only thing that will look right is a color close to that parchment like gold. A tangerine pearl would be interesting and might work also since it is in the same color tones. Definitely not black and most certainly not blue! Not with a tan top, anyway. Good luck with your choice. Post pics if you go with it!

And by gold I meant a pearl gold similar to the gold stripes on the 04 anniversary package, it slightly flip-flops different shades depending on light. I have one on the used car lot, not the greatest stripe package(too skinny with huge gaps), but the color is sweet. These flip from mineral grey to gold. Terrible last-minute pic tonight, but you get the idea:
