hi all,

i decided, im going to get the 2 x 12" stripes PAINTED instead of the 3m vinyl!

i'll let everyone know how it goes...

 

As long as your dead set on the stripes that's the best way. I have the vinyl ones and after about 2 years I have to keep waxing them all the time or else they look all hazy. I'm going to have them painted but the mod money is going into suspension at the moment.

I'm anxious to see how they come out.

 

If you painter is doing a quality job, he will be pulling off the front and rear bumper covers (and the grill out of the front too). Might check how he is going to terminate the edges of the stripes at the edges of all the panels. If he stops short, you are not getting the full job. The devil is in the details.

 

amazing suggestions! the great thing is that i'm having the CS fascia put on at the same time.

i'll have them remove the rear fascia to put this on....

hi boltz! i wish. i just been saving for this mustang for like 2-3 years prior to purchasing my late '06 model.

now this project of getting the car exactly the way i want it is a pretty lengthy one. but its so fun!

I'm doing the exact same thing you're doing right now. My car will be in the shop this week to put on CS bumper and some tungsten stripes. Good call

I didn't know yours is black too, holy crap that's insane! Yeah I'm giong with tungsten, I just think it looks pretty clean. I made a poll and asked people what was best on a black stang, but I ended up using my own opinion. After all, I'm the one who has to look at it every day.

 

i think u are right..tungsten might look darker/meaner/cleaner...

silver stripes will be more showy but it will make the car standout stronger....right?

either way..its a winner...

Tungsten is a grey color. My 06 is Tungsten

 

Well I don't think I'd be getting tungsten stripes if I didn't know what color they were, read the previous posts. I meant the actual tangible thing tungsten.
