Black GT,red interior. would white stripes match??Opinions??

IMO, white stripes could work with that combo, but: it would require some white trim inside the car too. And then only "maybe". There are definitely less risky paths.

 

I don't think there'd be any problem with white stripes. Black and white pretty much go with anything, and work well together. And either one certainly works with red, and I see no reason why all three wouldn't look good together. Would I do it myself? If those are the colors I wanted, yes.

Decent way to decide would be to find a picture of a black mustang on this site with the red interior clearly noticeable in the picture and have someone in the photoshop section add some white stripes.

If after that you are still a little worried but decide to go with them, get vinyl stripes, if after the vinyl is on you decide you don't like it they are easily removable.

Also, if you plan on tinting the windows the red interior won't be as noticeable from the outside, so you may not have to worry about how that looks.

If I had a black GT with red interior (which is a must, especially with black or white exterior) would I get white stripes? It would be a close call for me personally between white and red stripes. I'd probably choose white over all but the most bright, vibrant red, and I think white might win over that too. Black and white is just classic.

 

Charcoal, silver, or a red that actually matches the interior trim. I don't think that white would look good with your color combo.

 

I'd say don't go with white. Since you have red interior you need to enhance that effect by going with stripes that compliment the car. White, as bold as it is on black, is not something you do unless the interior is a dark colour and blends in with the paint job. Personally, I don't like red stripes on black either. I'd go with dark charcoal. The stripes would not take anything away from the red interior and the red interior would not take away anything from the stripes.

On my Black GT I want to put the darkest grey I can find for the stripes...something like DSG but darker. I like how on the "Street Scene" orange car the stripes make you do a double take, almost like you didnt notice them the first time.

I think a flat black stripes on black would also be clean. Add a thin charcoal line on the outside of the stripes. Now that would be sick!!!

 

My opinion, white stripes would look fine with any interior color but red. With red interior, I would go with red stripes.
