Okay, so I've asked this question already, but this time I brought pictures. Quickly recapping, I had stock GT Premium wheels put on my black V6 coupe. Now I'm trying to decide whether I should have the tape stripe removed. I was able to find a picture of a photo manipped GT without the stripe (obviously) and a pic of the V6 with GT wheels and the tape stripe included.

The decision must be made by Monday since I'm scheduled to visit my dealer at that point. Please please please help me make my decision guys...thanks!!!

 

Looks cleaner w/o the stripe(s) in my opinion.
If it had the hood/roof stripes, they would be a nice compliment.
But by themselsves I don't care for it.
It's all about what you like Jay.

 

gt does not come with side stripes just so you know jay... i never liked them ..especialy by themselves

 

I personally do not care for the factory side stripes. i am sure though, that if at a later date you dont like them you can easily remove them.

 

as mike said, Jay, it's all about what you like.

ppl seem to like stripes or not. to me, there are hordes of cars w/o stripes, oceans of them- plain. do you want to be like the rest of the fish in the ocean, or do you want to be a shark?

stripes look right at home on '05 mustangs i feel.

 

I like the side stripe I put on my V6, but am not a fan of the ones Ford puts on. I think the black looks great without the stripe, with those wheels.

I like the stipe on the side as long as there's one's on the top of the car also. If you plan on striping the top, keep 'em, if not, lose 'em.

 

I'm with Janet....side stripes look sweet but I dont care for the small ones that say Mustang.
To me a stripe breaks up the planes/patterns and brings a slight two tone effect into the scheme. Well anyway I say lose it and put on stripe that says something subliminally....like power.

 

Personally I like the side stripes. But based on polls that have been run, most people either love them or hate them. It's a very subjective thing.

I personally dont like the side stripe at all, especially the factory one. I would say get rid of it, but thats just me, as people have replied its all personal preferance. Dont do what we tell you to do, do what you want to do. That is unless your doing something rice like

 

Have Side Stripes and Black out in Flat Black.
Really like the Black Out, but I'm not sure about the Sides.
They are vinyl so if they don't grow on me they are gone.

 

I paid to have side stripes put on mine.

 

It's what you like and what other future mods you plan on this could add or take away from the looks of the car depending on what else you might be doing .But like every one says its your choice and you have to be happy with it.

I like the rocker panel stripes myself and I think bright silver metallic with no script of any kind would be great on your car. I like the over-the-top stripes on other peoples cars ,but they are too flashy for me.

 

Why do you have to decide now? Keep them a while & then decide for yourself later!

 

I'd remove the side stripes and go for some gold stripes like the old 350 H. They make a black car look great. Just my .02.
