I'm thinking about getting the SS Gen 1 diffuser, but would like to see some close-up pics of the valance before commiting to one.

What I would like to see;

close-up of the rear fender lip (where the valance attaches to)
mounting points
overall different angle shots

If anyone has the Gen 1, please post your pics.

Yeah it looks good, but I think it would look a bit strange with JUST the rear valence.

Just my opinion though...got your PM Bill but it looks like Jose gave you what you needed

Thanks guys.

I also found this pic from an older thread. The diffuser definately looks larger in these close-up photos compared to the tiny pic in the SS website.

And it looks really good when installed as a kit, but like Imatk mentioned, I wonder how well it'll blend in only complimented by a front CDC Classic chin spoiler.

Any opinions?

Well you know my opinion

Honestly I think it will look strange by itself, but of course I've never seen one with just the rear valence... so I don't actually know... just guessing.

Found a couple pics with the diffuser, with no side skirts.

Bill,

FYI - The red one is mine. Just a heads up . . . I have lately been having problems with the valance remaining flush against the body by the side marker lights area. The gap is growing bigger and the 3D tape is pulling away. I might have to redrill some holes to re-position it.

Tom-
Can you take a pic of the area of concern and also of the location where you have to drill holes for the attachments?

Thanks.

Here's the only pic I have right now, but you can see it starting to seperate just under the red side marker light. The holes I drilled were on the ends, I had to match the holes with the existing fender well holes.

I see it. Do you think this happened because that area wasn't adequately prepped? Or was it caused by something else?

I think it's because the drilled holes were slightly off, so there is a slight pressure causing the gap. The prep was done "by the book" and I've retaped it once before (lasted a week).
