Hey all, thought I would post some pics of my Gen 1 Louvers from Street Scene, so you can compare them to the Gen 2s. I love my Gen 1s, wont be switching those out anytime soon.

My parking garage is sooooo dusty that my perfectly clean car was speckled with dust in a matter of hours... ARGH! I cant wait to get a real garage for her!

 

I am right there with you Jessica, I love my gen1 louvers, the longer they are installed the more I like them.
I love looking out them as I am driving.

Kevin, I love everything you have done to that car.

I get so many compliments on these things, its almost like I just got the car again. People stop, stare, point, the whole deal. I am going to take some pics of the inside of them, I can still see thru them, and you cant see the tape on the inside.

 

Thanks Jessica, I too was worried about seeing the tape on the inside of the windows, but you are right you cannot see the tape.
your car is amazing as well!!

 

You can see the tape only if you are standing right up next to the car, looking from the rear to the front. Otherwise, its hidden really well.

I do want to get some kind of black rubber, or small peice of plastic to fill in the small gap between the car and the louvers...

 

You may be able to get some thin weatherstripping for that. If you do, please post because I may want to do the same thing when I get mine.

Jessica- it might also be able to be done another way- come by sometime and let me look at them. You might be able to use a thinner tape. You shouldn't be able to see much. Id like to see how much your talking about and I can take it from there. I don't want to use too thin of tape cause you want real good adhesion, but lets check it out. Are you going to be in the neighborhood this week?

Hey Jess....come on over so I can check your tape...........I'm sure she's heard that a million times. She probably won't fall for it.

 

Mike... You can actually see what I am talking about on the shot from the rear to the front, up close. You can see the white on the bottom half of the window, in between the louvers.

I can come by in the morning if you have some time. I was also thinking of using an apoxy, something that dries clear, but still gives really good ahesion. I will email ya...

I STILL check my windows when I am traveling at higher that 40mph! LOL I stress so bad those things are coming off...

Stoic, You wanna check my tape??? Maybe, if you bring J to check it out too...

Hey Rrobello- Thanks- it is AJ or Andrew who graduated this week. He is off to college in August. Hes going down to San Diego with Surf board in hand so I dont expect to ever see him again.. Jessica just left the building. Her louvers are going to be just fine...
