Here is a picture of the new Gen 2 side window louvers from Street Scene. These new louvers are available NOW. The part number for these is 950-70749. They are made from urethane and are open just like the Gen 1 louvers. They fit well and are held on by 3m two sided tape. They come ready to be painted. This new style is a little more squared off than the Gen 1 louvers. They are available from any Street Scene distributor. (Be nice to the Street Scene distributors when you call them, they haven't seen these yet. They are being debut right here right now!) As soon as I have a picture of them on a Stang, Ill post it.

Depends-- if you like them more than the Gen 1's then they will cost you more. If you like them the same as the Gen 1's, then they will be the same price as the Gen 1's. ( The laws of supply and demand) OK- the correct answer is... Yes- they will be the same price...

I think they are ugly, do you think a retool is in order? Send me all the ones you will be throwing away.

Mike,
I'll have to wait and see how they look on your car. I not sure but they appear to be much less tapered than the last one's you showed. I think the openings might be a bit too "boxy"(more of a rectangle than a trapezoid) for me.

Thanks for your input- Instead of having a lip around the outer edge llike the first ones I showed, the louvers now go all the way to the edge of the louver- they still have tapers but they have changed slightly. Ill try to get some better pictures soon- they are at the painter now..

Mike, I like them. I didn't like the "bubbly" look of the generation 1 louvers. These look good. I'll need to see them painted and on your orange stang before I decide to get these over the MRT's.

And by the way, I got your ducktail in the mail today and after test fitting it, (it fits great!) I dropped it off at the painter this morning. Unfortunately he's not going to be able to get it done for this weekend (because I have some other paintwork being done), but I should have it painted, striped and on the car by the middle of next week.

Fleasome- They were first posted here- You guys were the first to know. They are not up on our sight yet but will be within the next couple of days. Xader- yes - we will do side scoops- probally wont be out till July- the modeling shop is really backed up right now with some other secret projects and some Mustang Grille Shells.

Can the louver be removed to clean the window or is it permanently attached?

Thanks!

Its really permanently attached. I have cleaned betweeen the louvers with a towel and some glass cleaner- its not the best thing but it works. It really doesnt get all that dirty. Ive heard that others have attached them with velcro but I havent tried that. You can purchase 3M tape from pep boys etc so if you ever did want to remove them and re-attach them you could.
