I like my 1st gen's a lot better. Its just something about them that gives the GT a smooth, low shape.

I'm getting my SSE Gen II louvers painted Legend Lime to match my car, but here's a pic of them "fresh from the box" for reference. They're cast in black plastic or some sort of resin. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they were so sturdy. They're about 1/8" thick!

I should have them painted and installed by next week and I'll post "after" pix then.

That's not dumb at all. With all of the variations of louvers already on the market, it's hard to tell! They are openings, not stickers. Here are a couple more "before" pictures...

I'm sure the reduced visibility will take some getting used to, but I'm pretty good about checking my mirrors and looking over my shoulder before backing up or changing lanes. I'll adapt.

So then, you're NOT going to add louvers to your Mustang. That's cool. Stock is good. But if you're going to add louvers at all, they SHOULD at least have slots to see out of, not just totally obstruct your view. Then again, the folks that had early fastbacks had a huge blind spot to contend with and they did alright!

Man, those new Gen II louvers are SWEET! I was all for not adding louvers to my car, as most are completely sealed, and you can't see through them, but with these, they are stylish, AND functional at the same time. May have to seriously consider getting these for my car in the spring, when it arrives.
