Steeda Wheel and Tire Combo

Hi Guys,
I am looking for anyone that might have a set of these Steeda rims and tires. I am imterested in them and looking for some feedback. Good or Bad. I want a little nicer wheel and wider tire but am not willing to cough up 3 K for them. Your imput would be appreciated.
Thanks Scott

Hey Scott-

I've been looking at the normal Ultralites (or whatever you call them, the 5 spoke ones) and have gotten pictures of those but not the Ultralites 2.

Hi Tom,
Are the ones you are talking about the 18 X 9.5 wide wheels? If so I have also been looking at those but know it will take about $1,000 bucks for tires and mounting. The package deal on the Ultralite II's seems to be a pretty good deal. It is also only about 100 bucks shipping via UPS to our area. I am ready to pull the trigger soon, just trying to get more imput.
Scott

P.S. Hey Tom,
A little additional info. I emailed Steeda this weekend to ask them about the weight of their rims verses the stock 17" machined wheels. They said the stockers weigh in a 30 lbs. and the Pentars (18 X 9.5) weigh 27 lbs. While I think their numbers are off a couple of lbs. I still like the way they look. Also, they told me their Ultalites II did not fit my 05 GT. I told them they needed to go back and read their add on the web and email me back. Just for want it's worth.

Those look great. Was size wheel and tire combo are yours. Steeda tells me that the 18 X 9.5 wheels with 275/40/ZR18's will work on all 4 corners with no issues.

How did you get the tires so cheap? The best I can find is from Steeda at $190.00 and change, and that is w/out shipping.

I like about 3 or 4 choices of their wheels. I am leaning toward the Pentar (18 X 9.5) with a set of Nitto 555 - 275/40/ZR18's. Wonder if there are any sells coming up for Xmas? To late in the year to put them on now. The winter salt won't be gone until late March around here.

It's never too late! You can put them on and use it as an excuse to go stare at your car in the garage. An attempt at humor!

Go to a local tire shop, if you order from steeda they will charge you a lot for shipping.I just did a little research and found american tire company. They didn't even charge me for installation and I got the warranty to It was like $150 for each tire.

Wow! They really lied about the stock 17s. I have a hard time believing the machined 17s weigh 6lbs more than the 17 inch bullets. Anyways, 27lbs is far from light for an 18x9.5 let alone "ultra-light".

I am working a couple of different angles to see what kind of price I can get. I have decided on the Steeda Pentar wheel (18 X9.5). I want to run the Nitto 555 - 275/40/ZR18 tire. Steeda has the cheapest price I have found to date for the tire at $195 ea. plus $18 shipping. The only Nitto dealer within 50 miles of me is Tire Discounters. They want $234 plus $12 mounting each. While they will do free rotating and warrant the tire against road hazard. I am tring to work a package dealer with Steeda at this time. They say they will work with me. We see when I get home tonite. I should have a email waiting on me.

Appreciate the help, but I am having a difficult time finding a shop here that carries Nitto. Search isn't over so we'll see how it goes.
