STEEDA chin splitter?
#2
I am not a huge fan of the steeda splitter. Swingles car looks pretty good but i am a much bigger fan of the two cdc chin spoilers. Plus cdc has two styles, one pretty understated, and one more agressive. But it's all about what you like. Between the two cdc's and the steeda, you should be able to find one you like, and narrow down a favorite. check ebay fro some great prices on them steeda spoiler.

I personally don't like chin splitters because I tend to like the older classic "simple" Mustangs. But, I like swingles car a lot, and of all the chin spoilers out there, I like Steeda's is the best.

Picked up my splitter last night. Installed it today just to see how it fits, takes less than a minute by the way. I took some pics so you could see the contrast on the car. When it's painted black, probably won't notice as much.
W/out it painted this thing already looks like a bad S.O.B.
It's amazing what lowering a car and adding a chin splitter will do for the looks.

Looks nice. How functional is this?

blacked out the splitter, painted it satin black for the time being, might have painted black/clearcoat tomorrow at work, but wanted to see how satin would look since the grille and the mirrors are satin also...thinking about blacking out the center of the hood and the spoiler satin black, but not certain yet.

Looks great Bucky!...thanks for the props from a few of you on mine....Mike's turned out awesome with the stripes as well!...Great buy for 250 shipped in my opinion, as it's much higher from Steeda....I'll include some reference shots at various angles to help others decide. hard to tell from the shots on the steeda site what it looks like all around..later...

MAN, I think I'm going to have to leave mine satin black. I have already scraped it twice today, 3 1/2 inches off the ground. Swingle, have you bottomed out anywhere yet? I've been trying not to scrape it too, that's what stinks, it's not like I forgot it was there. Also, Swingle, did you have to use any hardware to put yours on, or did it just pop into place like mine did? Just making sure I'm not missing anything since, I bought it from a guy who bought it for his V6, and it wouldn't fit.
-Can't straddle any road-kill now.
-I might have to get a job w/ the city, scooping up dead animals off the street....LOL
-More pics w/ better light outside below.

Hy Bucky! Just has a single screw on each side inside the wheel well. No scraping so far for me....Did rub against a curb when i parked it up to close a few weeks ago.....Not a big deal and I've been really careful since. I haven't lowered mine and I'm still running the stock tall Pirelli's up front so it's off the ground pretty good....

thanks for the info john.
one more quick question, do you remember if your splitter had a sticker on the inside that said it was manufactured by RAZZI?
I know mine was a Steeda splitter b/c I got the original invoice and box from the oringal purchaser, just trying to figure out if Steeda is buying them from RAZZI and then selling them to us.
If so, we need to cut out the middle man.....that's why they list for 350.00 plus 75 for shipping.

Mine was clean....came in a grey color ready to paint and with no stickers...not sure on yours....strange.....I agree that if that's the case then your idea is a good one....probably have a contract to produce only for Steeda for a period of time though I would think...worth a few minutes to investigate I guess....shipping is too high regardless....I've really taken a beating from them on shipping overall....
