Sorry guys- Ive been at car shows all day- my son thought he would help out and posted the current Gen 1 side louvers. The Gen 2 louvers are still in tooling. They should be ready at the end of this week or the begining of next week. We have a West Coast show called Fab Fords Forever next Sunday at Knotts Berry Farm- Im going to try and have them ready for that show but Im not sure if I can pull it off. If not- it should be sometime in the next two weeks- stay tunned and sorry for the confusion..

They are about the same size of the window- My guess is that they are smaller than the MRT louvers. I think the MRT louvers extend past the size of the glass? Our second Gen Louvers are about the same size as our GEN 1's but have a more squared off look instead of the rounded look. They will be open between louvers just like the Gen 1's and will attach the same way as well.

OK- Don’t tell anyone but I’m going to let you guys get a sneak peek at the Gen 2 louvers- Here is our first set- Debut here on The Mustang source! No one else has seen these yet but since you guys have been bugging me, here you go..

Mike, I like them. Not as bubbly as the first. They look flatter and not sticking out so much. I'd need to see them painted on a car before switching over from MRT. But I think you have something there. I think MRT's is a little too square, and your first generation louvers were too round on the edges. These look in the middle. And I like how they have 5 louvers instaed of 6... like the '65 and '66 Shelby's.
Edit: It looks like I might be the first to ever see the 2nd gen SS louvers. I feel special.
Mike... I have a question. How do these attach? And I see there is a lip there around the edge. Can you explain a little more detail the attachment of these louvers?

Im having these painted and put on my Stang. Ill post pictures as soon as I have them- its going to be a few of days. They attach like the Gen 1's. On to the glass and with 3M tape- They wont come off. I know there are pros and cons to this but we think it works pretty well. I guess you could velcro them if you wanted to be able to take them off. They are open so you can see through them and you can also sort of clean in-between the slots.

Mike... I sent you an e-mail, but ignore that. I see you are going to have them painted and on your car to show soon. Can't wait to see them on a car. Honestly, how bad is it to not be able to clean the window? Won't that be a problem over time? And what about water getting into the louvers and then sitting down by the bottom. Will it have drainage slots down there?

Ive washed the car seveal times with the Gen ones and it hasnt been a problem. You could drill small holes if you think its necessary. I havent noticed any problem with the glass but I understand your concerns. Also, some have suggested to stagger the tape line. That would leave a break for water to go through.

These louvers are urethane which is black. They will need to be painted. Currently they will only be offered in urethane black. We have talked to a few production painters and are considering offering them painted but if this happens, it will be a while. Initially only non-painted louvers will be offered.
