I am torn between ordering my 'Stang with a spoiler or without?? I would like to know how far off the trunk lid it is. I think it looks nice with one, but how hard do you think it would be to clean/ wax around it?
Just some thoughts.

The '05s, IMO, do look a little goofy with the stock spoiler. The spoiler delete seems the way to go. At least, that's what I'd do.

Unless Ford had a "ducktail" type of spoiler as an option, that is.

BTW, nice color choice. (my '03 is that color)

I prefer it with the spoiler. To me, it really adds a bit of sportiness to the rear. Plus, my idea of a mustang always has a spoiler on it. My favorite stang is the 1969 Mach 1 so maybe that's the root of it.

It shouldn't be that hard to clean around it. It will just take a little more time.

Personally, I don't like it. The car has a smooth, clean look from front to back. Why ruin it with a spoiler? Just my opinion.

I am torn as well man, I would just be afraid of not getting it and then wishing that I would have a few months down the road.

Don't get it. Spoilers (at least on this car) don't do anything performance-wise except add more to drag coefficient.

All the pics w/out spoiler look great.

Don't get it. I am going spoiler delete. I think it looks better without it, and its not functional. Becides, there will be tons in the aftermarket if you want one and if they don't use the same holes as the one from the factory you are going to have to worry about filling, grinding and repainting to fix the factory holes.

With 20+ aftermarket wings coming out, I would delete it.

? For you guys getting the spoiler delete. On the V6 we pay $295 for the spoiler & accent strip. You guys getting the GT get the spoiler at no extra charge with no accent strip. If you get the spoiler delete don't you feel that Ford should deduct that from the price you are paying for the car?

I know some of you are probably going to say that they lose money when someone orders the spoiler delete & they have already spent the money on the spoiler for that car. Or something like that. But. Couldn't they just take the deleted spoilers & use them to fill some of the orders for the V6 with ESP?

Just curious. It's something I have been wondering for a while now. Cheers mates.

I went with the delete because I think the car looks cleaner without it,
plus here in L.A., it seems like every car on the freeway has a spoiler.
Half expecting to go into a lawnmower shop and find them equipped
with them too.

Ducktail looks good, but without the spoiler the car just looks a bit strange to me. Going to get it.

What I plan on doing is getting it with the spoiler and taking it off after I get it and just sell it on ebay. heck, you don't get a discounted price for the spoiler delete, so why not get your money back?

What are you going to do to the holes in your trunk lid? It usually costs $$$ to fix those up

I had thought about that, i'm either installing a duck wing or the Steeda wing and the body shop will work that out.
