Not on the list but Ford's GT/CS side scoops would get my vote if I was going to put some side scoops on.

Sorry guys, but I don't see the point since they are nonfunctional. IMO they only increase drag and cover up the nice curved bodyline underneath. I know these have been on past GTs, but on the new one they ruin the clean looks of the car. I don't want to be a "Debbie Downer," but this is just my opinion.

could not agree more, the side scoops make the new body look to much like the one it replaced :notnice:

This poll is starting to get to me now. I have the 3DCarbon scoops and was getting ready to paint them to put them on my car. But seeing as they got one single vote (happens to mine, by the way ), I am starting to have second thoughts. I personally don't like the one from Cervini because they come with a mesh grille and are made to "look" functional. If I'm going to have a fake side scoop, I'd rather let it be known that it's fake and have it look more like a added body piece than to have something made to look funtional. Now I'm just starting to change my mind about scoops all together. But, how can I have a true '67 Shelby GT350 tribute without scoops? I'm confused.

I see it now... it was their 1/4 window scoops that have the mesh grille. So, what does it look like inside the Cervini's side door scoops? It looks like it's hollow in there.

Hi Ian,
3D Carbon makes nice stuff, and I would go ahead to put them on. I think this vote represents very slight preferences, and not hard absolutes. I appreciate it when folks modify their cars, making one distinctive from another, and all of these scoops offer a nice customizing touch.
Brian.

No doubt those are the best looking side scoops.

I like the GT/CS side scoops a lot too... funny thing is those look almost identical to the 3DCarbon ones.

They attach with 3m VHB (very high bond) double sided tape. I just left a little gap in the bottom corner for water to drain......just in case.

I have to disagree with you on that one. I could be wrong since I haven't seen any close up shots of the CS though.

Ian, if it makes you feel better, I like the 3d Carbons best. This new TMS forums format is screwing things up and my "vote" pics aren't showing amongst other things. And like Brian so eloquently implies, it's your car and your choice.

Everyone,

Thanks for all the feedback on this poll.

I was originally leaning towards the Cervinis, but after staring at my car for about 10 minutes last night, I really like the way it looks without any side scoops. I will put the money towards a 3dCarbon ducktail instead.

Thanks, Mark and Brian for the words of encouragement. I had already bought the paint/clear kit so I will just go ahead and paint them and put them on. If it turns out I don't like them, I'll sell them on e-Bay. Painted scoops should sell enough to make me close to 75% of my money back.
