Side Mirror Options?
What are the side mirror options currently out there? I hav seen the agent 47 and they are a little bit wierd looking. I dont want painted covers, theyll make the mirrors even bulkier. are there any good replacements out there? tia.

I would like to find the ones that are on the Japanese release of the 07' Mustang...they have the Side marker lights and look a little sleeker!
Let me know if anyone knows where to get these!

I still like the caps the best. Adds color but splits the difference with the black plastic. "trims" them down a bit so they don't look so huge. If you paint the entire mirror it makes em look even bigger. The caps have the opposite effect you think they do. After living with them over a year with my red 06, it made me NUTS for the 1/2 hour my alloy 07 didn't have them...Still urks me when I see them without it, and I have 40+ in stock to look at every day.

I really like my MAG Painted Inserts. Sets off the mirror without making it look bigger. I have gotten many compliments on them from fellow stangers in my area.

I was (at some point) thinking about using some MINI Cooper mirros in the mustang. They look similar to the original Cervini drawing when they had the "Eleanor is coming" banner in their website, nice and oval.
The retro mirrors are ok, but IMO they are way too small for the s197 body style, the proportion is not right.

Hey Hoss do those mirrors maintain adjustability? How much did that mod run you if you don't mind me asking.

2006GT500.......The mirrors were about $50 new on Ebay. I made templates with the original gaskets and made some sheet metal triangles to duplicate the originalsand welded in the 3 bolts needed to match the stock mounts. I painted them semi flat like the rest of the black stuff I painted. It was about 4 hrs. of work. The adjustability is ok with a fisheye mirror on the right side one. It is an wedge shaped one that fits perfectly. I am out about $60-70 bucks w/ my oen FREE labor. It took me one day to get used to them.

MRKABC.... I am selling HOSS to build a big dollar 37 Cabriolet . I want to make it a fast project and buy all the goodies at one time and have it done in a few months time. As you can tell by my other cars I am more of a street rod type than a muscle car guy. I just wanted to see how my own version of an S197 would turn out.So while it is still perfect in every way I should sell it NOW.It's cheaper and faster than a Saleen or Roush and maybe even most GT500s, so someone will make out well on this deal!
