Cervini 4 inch cowel. Not much clearance under the hood for newly rebuilt motor. Talked about putting hood pins, but decided no need yet.

For those of you that have the shaker hoods how do you like it? Was there a gain in power? I'm thinking I need one on my CS???

Absolutely love the look. Freakin' awesome to see it pull when I put my foot to the floor.

I can't comment on the power gain - I decided not to plumb mine into my CAI. From what others had seen, the minimal increase in power was not worth the work to plumb it in (or hide my driver side valve cover!).

Did you have to lower the compression for the super charger?
PJ's are high compression engines if I remember correctly....

I'm running 8PSI Boost. I did replace the fuel system with a GT500. The OEM was running at 100% and when changed it brought it down to 60%.

#39 injectors?

Reason I am asking, I have a friend with a super shaker that is not getting great results with it...it's a 281 Mustang GT stock injectors and fuel pump.

I can't help but think it's starving for fuel, and I think you have confirmed my suspicion.....

I've had my Shaker Hood for more thna 2 years and I think it weas a good choice. I can't say the there is any real hP gain, but cooler air into the intake is always a good thing so I am sure it helps performance somewhat.

Fabman- What do you have in the opening between the edge of your bumper and the cdc classic chin spoiler? Just curious more than anything and if its a rock deflector/protector of some kind Id like to know how you did it as I need one for my car.

Nada....I just took the black plastic part out of the stock lower valance and cut out the holes with an exacto blade....pretty low tech really.

I just wanted something that looks different and for better or worse, I think I got what I asked for.

What you may be seeing in there is the heat exchanger for my intercooler.

Cervini's B9 with custom grille & made functional (cut a huge hole under the hood ) Engine bay temps have been about 10-15* less.

B9 hood and scoop with functional hood pins. May switch from "ram air" intake thru the grill to shaker intake and leave the B9 scoop on so I get the looks and functionality from it.

Adding a chin spoiler soon. Been busy so haven't had time to install it this summer.
