Show me your aftermarket rear medallions

Ever since the paint came off my OEM badge, I have been searching around for a new one. Show me yours. I have no interest in ones that look like a fuel door, unless it has the classic GT logo.

Just a thought - I think the CDC blackout panel looks great on black cars. Not sure w/ stripes though.

The "classic" GT logo is available through many sources, and is expressly why we designed our "basic" rear medallion so that you could add them however you wanted. The one pictured IIRC is from a 68 (available from places like NPD)

Both are customer-modded versions of the same piece. HTH.

The GT logo we offer (that Ford doesn't make hay about) is this one:

Sorry, I dont like any of those. I dont like the fuel door style, and I dont want it to have the tribar pony because that is trademark v6 in my eyes.

where does the vertical gt one come from???

do you have to buy the gt emblem and attach yourself, or does SHR produce them that way?

It's from a 68 door if I remember correctly - we do not install them as everyone wants something different, so we just offer the basic door piece and then you add on whatever emblem you want to finish it and be unique.

Jason, no hard feelings, we know not all of our parts are for everyone - would be a pretty boring world if that were the case. Not sure though then what your options are - Steeda makes a piece, but I think it has their logo on it, not sure of any other offerings off the top of my head.

I think they'd ingrain their logo into oil molecules if they could.

the only one i can think of that doesnt look like a gas cap is this one:

http://www.mossmustang.com/Shop/View...eIndexID=59402

then again, it just goes over the stock one and personally i dont like it.

as far as the steeda one goes, i suppose you could maybe pry off the logo? not sure what it is stuck on with though. if it is glue, it may be hard to clean off the residue. plus, i dont know what it looks like under the emblem. (i.e. holes)

personally, i think silverhorse has the best offering on the market. it keeps with the retro look. plus, i like the fact that his medallion can be mixed and matched with different finishes and the "basic" style gives you the option of adding your own emblems.

If they didn't put that stupid key hole there, none of us would put a faux cap in place of it. But they did, so choice is limited. I too, went with SHR, as they have a base "plain' one you can get in any finish, then just do your own thing with it.

Hey Jeff, did you cut into the CDC panel to recess that emblem? Great job!

Yes I did, a little dremel work never hurt anyone. Thats a reproduction 67 Shelby GT350 fender emblem I have on there.

And a custom GT350 badge up front too

I want to put that supercharger badge on my stang. But I guess I have to have the supercharger first. I dont really want to pay $7,000 for a badge (wait, yes I do).

The factory badge doesn't look like a gas cap IMO. I'm still waiting for some aftermarket company to make this piece in either aluminum or plastic, correctly sized to replace the rear badge - and cover up that key hole. I even went so far as to order one of these ($80), discuss making it with a vendor (Tillman), send it to them, only to have them fall off the face of the earth - no response of any kind since April

A much simpler option. It's a removable decal I got on ebay. Easy to put back to stock, and cheap, too. After two years, it shows no wear. The guy made horses and other decals, too, for the purists out there.
