Should I Add LeMans Stripes

Initially when I started this project I had intended to add the LeMans stripes, but then once I started seeing every car with the stripes I decided not to add them just so I'd be different. Hoever, now that the basic look of the car has been done for almost two years and I'm starting to think about adding the stripes again. So I thougth I'd ask for your feedback to see what your opinions are. The attached pictures are from a photo shoot in June 2006 and are prior to my adding the retro mirrors and suspension package.

Of course it should go without saying, please offer your feedback in a courteous manner and don't flame me for building what the factory won't (i.e. a GT-350). Thanks.

Thanks for your input and yes the new mirrors are from Agent 47. They are awesome.

He is correct, all the parts used on the car should be in my signature. By the way, yes that last photo from from the autocross event at the Sturgis Mustang Rally last year. That was a lot of fun!

First let me say your car looks great. My opinion is to leave it. With what you've got the stripes might put it over the top a little visually. I don't think it would look bad though.
I'm kinda in the same place right now. My stripes were damaged and had to come off. Now I look at my car clean and think it might stay that way. Still haven't made up my mind. Anyway, go with your heart, but I think it looks great now.

How long were your stripes on? Any ghosting noticeable? I'm thinking to remove my stripes somewhere along the line when I get sick of them.

Well, I've posted this question on two different boards (here adn the Team Shelby sight) and so far I have two votes for striping it and about a dozen for leaving it alone. It looks like the 'nay' votes have a substantial lead but I'll leave this poll up for a week just to make sure I have given everybody an opportunity to voice an opinion.

Your car looks great as is. And you're right: there's too many stripes out there already.

+1. Leave it as is! Don't clutter it up. That car is sharp the way it is.
