Had the BOSS stripes put on about a year ago, but they were sooo subtle on the alloy gray that I had the silver pin stripes added, shorty antenna, tinted the windows, blacked out the GT and Pony emblems, AVS taillight bezels, and of course added the sunroof (about a year ago too). She looks so sick in person! Thought I'd share

Looks awesome! I find myself wishing the stang had a sunroof like my DD subie but I think I'm too cheap and wouldnt want to add the weight to change it.

Thanks all. As for the sunroof, it's been great. No leaks, no issues. It's wired into the car so one button does it all. It pops up and slides back. Plus it has a sliding shade inside that's vented so you can still have airflow with it closed

As for the GT emblems, I searched high and low for flat black GT emblems. With all the aftermarket parts and supplies for the stang, it's amazing how much is NOT available. I removed the GT emblems when I had the boss stripes put on. I bought new ones, sanded them down and painted them black, then put them back on. I love them in black.

How did you pull them off? Did it leave any damage behind??

Used fishing line and slowly moved back and forth under the adhesive. Then used alcohol swabs to remove any remaining tape

the silver really sets it off! Well done. One question tho, why don't Mustangs have "stock" sunroofs? And wouldn't it be cool to bring back T-tops?

You gotta remember the S197 mustang is really a FASTBACK and Ford was trying to bring something back from the past.....and I have to say they did a wicked job!! The S197 body design is a more modern version of the 60's stang. Thus a sunroof or at least a t-top might look a bit odd on this body style.

True. But they decided against making the S197 in a coupe (notchback) for some reason. Either way, I love the 05-09 body style. I'm also a big fan of my sunroof. It adds Sinnott enjoyment to driving and was only $700.

The S197 style is totally the reason I got one! They look awesome! Sorry to hijack the post...(back to the topic at hand) I really love the silver accents on the black stripes!

Looks good and I love the stripes! Not a fan of the sun roof but its not my car and that is what modding is all about, doing it to our own tastes. IMO the only visual mods left are a nice set of wheels and some suspension work!!!

Thats what is so great about these cars... you can make them into what you like... I personally hate the look of a lowered mustang, thats why i didn't. Thats just not my taste but i appreciate that others really do like it. Thanks for the compliment. I have come to love the look of my car so much I find myself staring at it in the garage... i'm sick, i know... but this car is a long overdue dream come true for me.
