She's back!
She's back!
A little old lady almost destroyed my stang back in march. I got her back together, and here are the pics. let me know what you guys think! there was a little smudge on the lens, and there is still a bit of work that needs to be done (cut and buff, and a few odds and ends) but i couldnt wait to post some pics!!
Thanks for the compliments guys! I was on the fence about the stripes for a while... I wanted the shelby stripes from bumper to bumper and over the roof, but the guy that striped her was deadset against it. I was open minded and told him to do something unique, but gave him the freedom to do what he wanted. They have grown on me allot!
I really wanted to black out the front and back, and when i saw the agent47 ram air kit I instantly dug it, so on it went! what do you think about the rear? The spoiler is a shade off, and will be repainted. I guess it is hard to lay pearl on parts after the fact so it has to go back in the booth....

I don't like how the stripes end on the spoiler. It feels like an odd place to end, especially since you've already got the interruption created by the third brake light. I think it'd be better if they either went all the way to the bumper, or ended right before the ledge of the spoiler.
there's yellow... then everything else, i know a thing or two about this and that is a nice car. color scheme is vanity, but stripes on top would have sealed the deal. excellent hood and tail stripes (think out the box).
but if you stripe the top, well....

hood
Love the hood stripes. That tapered look is very unique and more modern looking than the straight stripes. The lack of a roof stripe really sets it apart. Dare I say it...looks like a camaro stripe. I would have ended the stripe at the truck before the spoiler, though. Nice looking ride, bud.

thanks for all the feedback guys!
Nice Hood
The hood looks really nice. Where did you buy that from??

I am definately considering removing the stripes from the rear of the spoiler now though thanks to you guys. the spoiler got too much pearl, so it ended up being a more pale yellow than the rest of the car. I think I may have them just paint the back of the spoiler all yellow and pearl it, then end the stripes at the edge on the top like someone suggested earlier in the thread.
I'm no fan of the horse head either, but if you like it thats all that matters.
I have two suggestions. First, black out the horse on the grill. Second, get a set of Moss/AVS tail-light covers and paint them black. It really helps tie the blacked-out rearend in better. Here's how mine looks....
The hood stripes remind me of the 1970 Shelby GT500 hood stripes. They are just a little less pointy at the front of the hood. I think the car looks great. Not a fan of the horse head but if you like it then rock it.
