Shelby trunk lettering on a regular GT...blasphemy?

So I've been thinking about putting the Shelby lettering from the Shelby GT-H on the trunk of my black '06 GT. Do you guys think that's too poser-ish? I have no intentions of passing it off as a Shelby, I just think it looks really nice. Thoughts?

The "Corvette" script looks nice too, but I wouldn't put that on the back of my Mustang either.

I just really love the look of the Shelby GT-H. I think putting the Shelby lettering on the pack and the Powered By Ford emblems from the Shelby GT would look pretty nice together. I want my car to be different, but in a subtle way. I don't want to do any drastic mods. I love the overall stock look, which is why i like the Shelby GT-H so much.

The GT-H is a nice car. The PBF emblems are sweet.

Anyone know where I can get the Shelby GT-H style lettering? Seems like they're out of stock at most places...

Let me preference this by saying its your car and your money so paint it pink with purple polkadots if you want.

Otherwise, dont do it. I wont write why other than to say it screams RICE all over it and you will be called out by the Mustang community.

I do not think mustang lettering says rice.. you might not know what rice is if you think a classic cue from the 1960's cars is rice. That being said it screams poser.

"Rice" has evolved into a term that means 'poser'. I think we're all on the same page here.

If it's the font that the OP likes, then find a similar font that says MUSTANG. Otherwise, it's just going to appear that you want it to say SHELBY, and anyone who knows their Mustangs will

OP - sorry friend, but you are asking for opinions. Your car though, so like Shock G says:

Haha, no worries. I know it's lame and I probably won't do it. Just really like the Shelby look. I don't think the "Mustang" lettering looks as cool. I'll just leave it and maybe my next Mustang will be a GT500.

Put some "R" badges on there and whatever size wheels you have, advertise that on the fenders as well. In other words, don't do it.

I know that the OP said they changed their mind but the conversation made me think of this guy.

And I say do whatever you want to your car. (except put GT R badges on it!)
