I tried a search and came up empty handed.

I have a 2006 vista blue gt convertible. What color shelby stripes do i get?????? the interior is dark charcoal and the top is black. Do I have to get black to match the top? would silver or white look good???

Any pics would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

I like white stripes on sonic blue, so I think they'd look good on vista.

I'm facing the same question. Same car, but light graphite interior. I was thinking of going black stripes with a grey secondary. Then again I may only do rocker stripes.

While I think white on blue is a great combo, with the black top, no so certain it wouldn't feel out of place.

I think I'm leaning towards a a color between gray and silver....definately metallic. I think that would match the top and interior better than white.

Have you thought of two colors? A large white out lined in thin black or silver. Or maybe wide black with thin white or silver. I have seen this on other cars and it works well.

I'm thinking of maybe ghost stripes on my black vert. The rocker stripes for sure....

Since there is no 05' Shelby, the ghost stripes are kind of a 'what if' look without trying to say the car is actually a shelby.

The black is cool, but a little too suttle for me. I think I'm going with some sort of metallic sliver/gray. I think it will be fine. I might go to a sign shop and buy a few feet of each, just to give me an idea of what it will look like

I'm going with white. I've seen silver, and that is very sharp also.

I have to say I am struggling with this. On the one hand, the side view could really use some stripes. On the other hand, without a roof, the hood and trunk stripes look kinda odd. Further, with a Sonic Blue car, Grey interior and a Black top, I am concerned that it's going to look too "colorful." I'm gonna wait until an inspiration moves me one way or another.

I know what you are going through. I have a Windveil GT vert, gray premium interior and black top. I went with black rocker panel stripes to tie it all together with the top color. Of course, the Windveil is lighter than the Vista blue and shows up better. I wanted the classic 3-stripe GT stripes without any lettering so I measured the stripes on a friend's 68 Shelby GT-500KR and duplicated them on my car. They look sharp.

In case anyone else is interested, the 68 stripes have a 1 1/2 inch center stripe and two 1/2 inch stripes with 3/8 inch spacing between them. I had the local TrimLine shop do them up and install them for me.

Here is a color selector that might help with ideas. I like the orange stripe on the dark blue.

Highroller,
Any luck with the pics yet? I'm hoping to order a Vista Blue with the same top and interior as you. I like the satin silver stripes on the coupe and also was wondering how the would look on a 'vert. I figured stripes would look great with the top down, but I wasn't sure how any stripes would look with the black top up.

I posted somewhere else. Sorry. I had the kit done on the front end and didn't like the color. Vista blue has a lot of metallic to it (hence the name) The silver stripes just looked too flat. I think I'm going with metallic silver painted flames instead. If I were to try this kit again, I would get the metallic silver stripes....NOT satin silver
