Good point on the hood latch jcsgt. And in reference to the hood Lokius, I just couldn't wait on the aftermarket stuff. My paint and body guy recommended going w/ the ford hood to eliminate any fit issues. Although I think the GT500 hood could have been better, I don't dislike it.

replacing headlights
Just bought some projector headlights, but having trouble figuring out how do the disassembly/assembly myself.
Am going with the Parnelli Jones look, with the headlights to match. Anyone attempted this install?

Thanks Slim,
The car is at Mustang Collision Center in Mustang and will be there all week. Hope to have it back by Friday. Feel free to stop by and see it over there if you want.

Updated Pics, Stripes, Hood, 3D Carbon Spoiler
Ok here are some updated pics of the 3D Carbon spoiler, stripes, and the hood. Mustang Collision center still thinks it will all be wrapped up by Friday. Also, I haven't forgotten about those of you that have requested the entire list of parts needed for this project, but I won't have my copies of the invoice until Friday when I have to pay for this whole deal. KC has a complete list. I'm not trying to push your questions off on him, I just know those of you doing this conversion are anxious and I think he can answer your questions quicker than I can. KC is the one who has helped me with some of the part numbers that were unknown to me and my dealer here in Okla. In fact, I ordered several of the parts, including the spoiler from KC because he had them on hand and they were on back order from Ford. Anyway, Here are some pics. BTW stripes are 10.5 in. w/ 1.5 in. gap.
So the rear spoiler is the 3d Carbon one and not the Ford original Shelby GT500 one?
Also are you going to add the Shelby GT 500 ribbed rear valance as well?
Looking Great ! Rob can't wait to see the final result. I love that color !
Even though am happy with my Windveil Blue GT. Are you looking to
make any mods on the motor later? Be nice to put some teeth in that
motor to match the body !

I've been going back and forth regarding doing a full shelby gt500 clone or
doing the front fascia adding some chrome bullitts and leaving the stock
gt rear spoiler alone (or putting a CDC ducktail). Still have not decided.

Emblem for grill
As I've said before I am not going with shelby/cobra badging. I've decided to go with the pony tri bar in the cobra's place. The pony tri bar I'm going with is the one for a V6 side emblem and has a sticky back with two small posts for alignment. there is not enough surface area on the grill for the emblem to stick to. The following is an easy to make bracket for the emblem. You will need a flat piece of steel or aluminum 1 in. wide and appriximately 4 1/4 in. long, 1 threaded rod, washers, and nuts. I purchased everything I needed at Ace Hardware.
Cut your flat piece of steel to fit your particular emblem. Measure the distance between the holes on the grill (they are 3 1/8 in apart) and mark them on your flat piece of steel. I cut two posts from the threaded rod. Each post is 1 1/4 in. in length. Now you can tack weld the posts to the piece of steel, or, do what I did and drill two holes in the piece of steel on the marks indicating the center of the mounting holes on the grill, then cut threads with a tap and screw the posts into your flat piece of steel and either lock tight them or mix up some JB weld and place them on the threads and screw them into the flat piece. Now you have a flat piece of steel to stick the emblem to. You do have to cut the plastic alignment posts off of the emblem. I just finished this tonight and will paint it black tomorrow.
