Awesome I love the shaker hoods! Ford should have included it or made it as an option on the '12-'13 Bosses! Nice job!

Saleen manufactured them as part of the 2007 Saleen/Parnelli Jones edition and also as part of the Saleen VI supercharger/super shaker edition..

If the OP goes to many car shows he might consider de-badging the shaker as some Saleen enthusiasts may take umbrage. Just saying.

Shakers are awesome.I want one,but the only ones I've seen are about $800,so I plan to just get a stock looking scoop to slap on mine
Just out of curiosity, how do these aluminum hoods compare to steel or fiberglass as far as weight goes?

My hood was light...I picked it up and carried it myself without much effort... my stock hood was a little heavier but not by much

And if you look online on places like offer up or craigslist you can find good deals on parts..I found my hood on craigslist for 350 bucks....I grabbed it up fast... lol

Interesting.I worked at a Honda plant and picked up an aluminum hood once and was very surprised how light it was.Felt like it was made of cardboard.Other than that,I've only dealt with '60's and '70's american car steel hoods, which almost required a crane to lift

Not trying to be nit-picky but I think some clarification is warranted here. The issue is the badge on the Shaker. The super shaker has the Saleen logo with the words Super Shaker indicating the car is supercharged and producing up to 620 hp. The badge in this post was used on limited edition Saleen Mustangs from 2005 to 2009. Those editions were the Parnelli Jones and the H302-3V. Both are Saleen 302 CID forged strokers with the PJ employing the Boss 302 heads and producing 400 hp. So far as I can tell, only 500 PJs were produced and 24 H302-3Vs.
If the OP goes to many car shows he might consider de-badging the shaker as some Saleen enthusiasts may take umbrage. Just saying.

Hey Rocky! No clarification from you is necessary. I understood your point. My comment was to the OP as historical context. Of the over 600,000 Mustangs sold between 2005-2009, only 524 were specifically designated with the Saleen logo and 302 CID indicator. And believe me, Saleen owners are very possessive and protective of their ownership value. Their cars are numerically registered (with that number clearly marked on the driver side front bumper), and categorized and sub-categorized. Most buyers of pre-owned Saleens are very careful about authenticating the history of the car. Anyway, I just wanted to save the OP from some overt comments by Saleen enthusiasts who have no compunction calling anyone out as a poser. The OP has indicated he was intending to de-badge and himself does not appreciate false badging. Thanks for your follow-up ..... I get it.

I totally understand where your coming from John, and couldn't agree more.. Although my GT was upgraded with the Saleen Series VI supercharger, all badging remains factory GT with the exception of my 2007-09 GT500 SVT wheels which I'll eventually replace the center caps with tri-bar pony caps. The reason, is out of respect towards Saleen and GT500 owners and the last thing I'd ever want to be called out as, is a poser

Rocky, you're killing me, buddy! lol I think most people view wheel center caps as more an identifier of the wheel than the car. Case in point - American Muscle and CJ Pony Parts sell GT500 "style" wheels all day with the SVT center cap. I don't believe anyone would think less as long as the wheels are genuine or "style" licensed wheels. I've seen SVT wheels (with center caps) on other Ford models and thought, "hmmm, looks good". I say, smoke 'em if you got 'em, keep 'em if you like 'em".
