sequential taillights
I hadnt considered getting these until this past weekend when I saw a new stang with them installed at the Downriver Cruise in SE MI. Cruised right behind this nice stang and really thought it was a cool mod. and for those of you in SE MI and NW Ohio I would recommend this cruise as it was a pretty nice event!
I have been on a couple sites that sell the kits and I was wondering what kit is the most reliable and easiest to install? On each site, the vendor had a video of the lights lighting up but they seemed to really go a lot faster than the lights we saw in person, is this typical? Sorry for the questions, but I would really like to do this mod.
Thanks
Sam

My advice is to search youtube, etc for vids of the actual product you're looking for.
Mine are Webelectric, easiest install possible, 100% PNP, just swap the harnesses, no extra wires or splicing.

+1 on the advice. I 've had my Web Electric's for over three years ,never a problem. One of the easier MOD's to do unless you have a Shaker1000 in the trunk.

I have had mine for 3 years now. No issues, and if you ever did have an issue, these guys are the best around for Customer Service.

Check out this link to a very good experience I had with Web Electric. And the product is first class too!

+3 Spend the extra money and go with webelectric. Great Customer Service on top of a great product that is super easy to install.

there was a kit (webelectric I think) that required running a extra wire from the smart junction box to the module in the trunk...I kinda wishI woulda got those as all the 'harness' types sequence all the time- still neat, and probably a bit more 'noticeable' for safety when braking, but I kinda wonder about being technically legal to sequence the brakelights. Never heard of anyone getting cited/warned about it, but I know all the old 60's cars that had sequentials only did it on turn signals and emergency flashers...

Never heard this before. Definitely requires more investigation...

Exactly! Looks like all these new kits took a step backwards...

Read my blog. I have posted instructions (with pictures) on how to disable the brakes from sequencing. I worked on this with Laurence from WebElectric so we could both figure out how to disable that feature when he first made the kits for the 05+ mustang. The hazards still do it though which is what I prefer.

STS-1MHR is the version I got. If you go here,
http://www.webelectricproducts.com/
and go to sequential turn signals tab, they will show you the options. You can even send in your old harness for a credit.

You have a few options. Obviously the best is
STS-1MPW Pre-wired "OEM" Harnesses, $169
Since it uses a factory OEM harness. The splice in kits work just as well. Depends on how comfortable you feel doing that. I used the STS-1MPW. That way if I ever sell the car, or want to go back to factory, I can pop-in the factory OEM harness and away I go.
Here is a link to the website.
