I could never justify doing this mod personally. Stylish? Maybe. I just see a down payment on a s/c or plenty of other useful mods.

for the price it takes to install one of these the right way, is the same price for a complete Whipple, KB, or Turbo kit plus part of the install cost

That thing is hot. Literally. Probably not a good choice if you live in the southern US.

It wouldn't be bad if there were some sort of shade you could close. It would be a great candidate for some LCD tint action!

Agreed totally. I had a factory tinted glass sun roof in my 88 5.0 and the sun would get hot. VERY hot at times. Even with th A/C blowing artic cold air the sun was annoying.

Thats the Automotive Essentials car, its by our store regularly(they do CDC installations for us). Personally I think the trim is very clumsy looking in person. I sold a few S281E's with the Saleen glass roof and they looked factory.

I'm with the other Tampa people... looks nice, but we would literally COOK here in the summer. Plus I don't have several grand to drop on a glass roof lol.

i don't think the heat factor would be that much of an issue here unless it's the dead of summer, but for me personally I think it would stick out way too much on a white car. if it was black, it wouldn't be a big deal at all. although it would be interesting to see it in person to decide...could still be stealthy on white....bah I dunno...

Looks great but what material are the black strips that make the front and rear window look sunk to make the top look smooth?

Think the side ones could be sanded down and painted body colour?

We've come a long way since then though... the Glass Tops apparently come with a solar film and if it's anything like V-Kool, you've got nothing to worry about. That stuff is amazing.

When I get my Mustang, I'll be fitting the GlassBack top and V-kooling the entire cabin. I am very confident it'll be colder than a normal Mustang without V-kool on the regular windows.

Look at the angle of the rear window in relation to the top... same goes for the front window... they let in a ton of heat if they're not solar tinted.

I live in Dubai... one of the hottest parts of the world... and I have no reservations about fitting the Glass Top. Worst case scenario, I'll add a Remote Start too.

I dunno... I'm not attracted to the Mustang for it's pure performance numbers... if that's what I wanted, I'd go for an Elise or an Atom. I like the Mustang for the overall experience...

If it's got the right noise, the right look, and can still push you back in your chair, that's all I ask.

To me... a Mustang is a Wild Horse. It symbolises a kind of freedom. Looking up through the glass roof and having an unobstructed view of the world around you just further emphasises that freedom feeling.

I love driving with the top down in my Jeep. I know I'll fall in love with the Mustang all over again when the roof gets cut.
