Cathy,
They look great. Can you take a closeup picture. I am trying to compare how mine are installed versus yours. I want to see how much space is between the bottom of the louver and the body line of the car. Also, when they were installed was the metal bracket used? Do the louvers touch the body of the car all around at all corners of the louvers? I didn't use my metal brackets because the louvers would not sit properly. Also the bottom corner at the back of each louver has lifted slightly. Nothing to be worried about but I want to compare the position of where others are installing theirs because MRT really doesn't include a template for you to get a perfect fit.

No problem John, I'll go take some pics and post them for you. They did use the bracket and they do fit very very close to the body. I'll try to get some good close ups for you.

looking great, this shows that good things come to those who wait.

are you planning on lowering your sally at all? I think that would make it look perfect.

Cathy....once again you've proven my point. These are by far the best looking louvers out there. I put mine on like yours, fit is about the same which is I think perfect.

Anyways.....great job, looks wonderful!!!!

Mark.

Andy, thanks. At this point I didn't have any plans on lowering her. I'm afraid of clearence issues if I do that. Have to go slow now pulling into the driveway if she was lowered would really be a problem.

Mark, thanks for the kind words. I agree MRT's louvers were absolutely worth the wait. Did you post pics of your louvers???? Let's see!

I have a question for you guys with these louvers...
How is it when you wash the car?...does water get stuck in there? and then when you drive away it just all comes out ruining the drying job you just did? just curious.

I made sure there were a few notches missing in the tape for water to run out while I was washing it. However some does stay trapped in there and comes out while driving. Not a big deal. I just bring my chamois with me and remove the water marks when I get to my destination.

Yeah I bring mine with me as well for the dreaded water that gets trapped in the grill :bang: but there are some places I go that would just be weird to break out a Chamois and start wiping.

I washed her once already and actually was suprised that not as much water pooled as I thought would. I use the absorber to dry her and by the time I was done with the whole car no dribble from the louvers at all and when I looked inside between the window and louver, no puddles. It was pretty hot out so maybe that helped.

Yes, but there is a metal bracket that was supplied. It sticks to the glass. You then stick the louver to the body and then you use 2 screws that attach the louver to the metal bracket. It is suppose to prevent the louver from flying off at high speeds. I don't have the bracket installed and I can see why now. My louvers are installed higher than everyone else's by the looks of things. That is the only thing MRT did not include, a template for a perfect fit.
