Roush Rear Window Louvers

ROUSH Performance looked back in history in an effort to continue expanding their Ford Mustang accessory line. With the introduction of the new ROUSH rear window louvers, owners of any 2005 through 2007 Mustang can further turn their ride into a modern version of the classic pony car.

The ROUSH rear window louvers are a one-piece design for both strength and a smooth appearance, do not hinder the driver's rearward view and minimize blind spots. Unlike others on the market, these louvers have a Venetian-style bend and unique spacing between the slats which was designed to follow the slope of the Mustang roofline. In fact, Jack Roush personally specified the unique arc formed into each louver as he continues to be hands-on with the development of the ROUSH Performance line.

"I think everyone knows what a fan I am of the Mustang and have never found a version that I didn't like, but the early cars were really the first ones that captured my attention," said Jack Roush, the winningest name in racing. "When we started to design these ROUSH rear window louvers I wanted to make sure that we kept the look as original as possible. That's part of the reason why this is the only kit on the market that has a retro-style hinge like those found on the original louvers from the '69 and '70 Mustangs."

Jack Roush demands perfection from his employees and products and is extremely involved in the design and functionality of all the ROUSH Performance offerings. He started the process by sketching the first design for the ROUSH rear window louvers on a pad of paper, and his directives led to his idea of the perfect design which blends aesthetics and purpose.

The ROUSH rear window louvers are powder-coated in a matte black finish for increased scratch resistance. The engineering is evident in the oft-overlooked small details, such as the inclusion of functional top hinges with dual prop rods for easy cleaning of the glass. As an example of the thoroughness of the ROUSH research and development process, a set of the ROUSH rear window louvers were track tested at Road America during the development cycle so you can be sure that they will easily withstand normal highway speeds.

Constructed from heat-treated aluminum, the ROUSH rear window louvers have a suggested retail price of $729.00 and were designed for easy installation with no cutting or drilling required. The part number is 401927 and more information can be found online at www.ROUSHperformance.com. Installation time is estimated to be around one hour.

Based in Livonia, Mich., "The Art of Performance Engineering" takes place at ROUSH Performance. In addition to the array of Ford Mustang and F-150 styling, handling and performance upgrades, a complete line of performance parts and crate engines are offered. For more information see your local ROUSH dealer, visit www.ROUSHperformance.com or telephone toll-free (800) 59-ROUSH.

I believe Roush has temporarily taken their rear window louvers off of their website, as they encountered some type of problem with them. I have heard they will be back on the market, as soon as they have resolved the problem.
