I want to get a pair of rolled exhaust tips for my '05 Mustang GT that I just ordered. The tips I have in mind are from Summit and they clamp on to the existing exhaust tips. Does anyone know the inlet diameter that is needed to slip these tips over the existing exhaust tips?

Burke0011 - I've been thinking about getting those exact tips. They are a little over $100 for the two, correct? Kinda pricey for tips but if they look good I'll probably get them. Could you please post some pics of those. Also, how easy are they to install. Do you just slip them on and they stay put or is there welding or bolting involved?

Wow that was quick! Yep, those look awesome!! So is there welding involved or is it just slip on and go. Sorry, if that's a dumb question.

Looks like $22.95 each.

I'm also interested in seeing if anyone has tried these yet. How are the clamp on compared to welded on?

Slip on, tighten the clamp, and you are good to go!

I ordered them through my dealer - they were 40 something a piece - my total was just under ninety, as the dealer is over an hour and away and I had them shipped to my house - had them within 6 days or so.

I don't plan on changing the exhaust anytime soon if at all so I wanted to get the tips to beef up the end of the pipes a bit. Already had a few comments on 'em - I really dig 'em. Got a new digital camera and gonna get some pics up this Sunday - also a few small interior mods I have made so far too.

Thanks! I can't wait to see those pics. Maybe I should try to get them through my dealer. At fordaccessoriesstore.com they have the tips for $109.07 for the two (i assume). So 40 something is sounding like a deal compared to that.
