Hi Guys, well after 3 weeks of waiting my new hood, paint joib, clear coat and wet sand are all completed.

Just to summarize,

1. I had the new hood completely re-worked
2. Hood was shot
3. Entire front clip was shot
4. Trunk was shot (twice)
5. Front clip, Hood and Trunk shot with clear
5. Remaining car was wet sanded to have a mirror like finish

The final pics are at the bottom of the page along with a 7 MB movie of the final paint job.

Enjoy,

-Bryan

Well Bryan, it's beautiful! For my money, you have the best looking TR on this site and maybe the best looking 05 overall. Love the new hood, sorry it was such a pain. Looks great!

RK......you listening...........Make a hood that doesn't cost 4 f'n grand to put on the car. I've seen hoods off ebay for $200 that need much less work than your crap. You made a nice design so now your next step is to make a hood that isn't complete trash. ok...........go!

great pictures, the detail in the paint work definitley shows.

Its too bad the hood needs so much work to look nice, that's the problem with a lot of fibreglass goodies

Love the car... looks great

Ever thought about painting the spoiler black? I think that'd really combine nice w/ the overall look of the car.

Bryan,

I have to say that your whole project has been inspiring to say the least!

Thank you for daring to go where no man has . . . . . . bla . . . bla . . . bla . . .

Is there any SOP improvement from the externally fed colder air? Does the hood still want to leave the car at speed?

After 5 weeks in the paint shop , I finally got my hood put on the car. Other than the wait , they did a good job. They specialize in corvettes , so they were used to working with fiberglass ...

This is my first time posting pics , so I not sure if they'll show up or not ...

Wow....looks great! I like it in one solid color more then I though I would...actually makes it easier to make out the scoop....feel any performance gains from all the additional air?

Thanks guy's ...

I don't know whether or not it's getting a lot more air due to the hood , but it is getting colder air than what's in the rest of the engine compartment. I have the Steeda CAI which has an aluminum heat shield that forms a compartment around the filter. It also has a rubber gasket around the edges of the heat shield and it seals against the hood. I've opened the hood after driving and while the rest of the engine compartment is hot , the filter itself is cold. Since cold air means more HP , I assume there is some gain ... Anyway , it looks faster

How many thousands of dollars did it cost you to get it installed?

Nice by the way
