Love them to, what is the correct offset we need for the 8 inch wheel?
What about a 9 inch wheel?
What about a 10 in wheel?
Not nessasarily the halibrand wheel, but any wheel on thne 05 gt

Off set is not the same as back spacing, offset is in millimeters, I believe the stock rim offset is 45mm which is 1.8 inches. The Hallibrands are a 34 mm offset which is 1.36 inches, so the mounting surface is 0.44 inches further inset. This is not much and should work okay

Ideally you want the offset to stay the same as your stock wheel, otherwise it might stick out, or even worse, stick IN, more than you like.
If it sticks in too much you will start rubbing suspension parts.

The problem is, in my case anyway, since I'm going with a 9" wide wheel, (minimum width IMO for a 255 tire), the wheel is already sticking out an extra 1/2" (13mm) when you use the stock 45mm offset. Add to that the extra 11mm and the wheel sticks out an extra 24mm or almost a whole inch. Too much for me.
It helps to use this:

Try this link:

http://www.bigwheels.net/info_specs.jsp

It lets you compare two different rim/tire combos side by side

It is pretty cool as you can input the stock info and compare different combos and actually see it Then you can start substituting different tires :worship:

Wow mate, that's an awesome link! And I found the wheels that someday will adorn my mineral gray 05 GT:

18x9 up front with 255/50/18 and 18x10 in the rear with 295/45/18

I have been thinking about going with OZ Superleggera III's. 18x9 front and 18x10 rear with 255/45's front and 285/40' s for the rear. I also like the zenetti deuce, but they dont come in a 10" rear I was also looking at 19" wheels but it seems to me that there is a better selection of tires in the 18" size

They will fit, but they will stick out too far.
'05 wheels have a +45mm offset. Pre-05's have a +25mm offset.

If a manfacturer makes a 9.5" rim with 35mm-42mm offset, this would obviously stick out .8-1". Is there any way around this?

Any body checked out their rear end to body alignment  my rear end is off set to the left, (drivers side) :bang: which will affect whell/tire clearance when goinging wider. I have not completely checked it out but I should be able to center the rear end better, (with the panhard bar and all), may have to build, or by adjustable parts to mak it work right any input

What does everyone think of these wheels? I love the looks.

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/f...5&rw=8&bp=5-115 (someone who understangs wheel specs, will these fit and look good on the 05?)

MB Design, has anyone heard of them? Good quality?

Also, what do you guys think looks better on the 05, think spokes or fat spokes?
