This does not really have to do anything with technical information, but it was the closest area to post my question. I am buying a 2005 used mustang and it is light blue. The finish is flawless, there are no scratches, dings, or dents in the finish. The car only has 30000 miles and it is pretty much brand new. The only problem is the color. I want to get it repainted black, can anyone tell me how much it should cost??

 

Back when I had a Camry, I wanted to get it painted black. I was quoted at $2200 for a nice paint job. I wouldn't advise going with anything less when going from a light to a dark car like that.

 

this is kind of off subject kh765, but do you have any recommendations for a dual exhaust that is loud and sounds good for a 05 V6????

I have gotten quotes before from the dealership of around 3-4k for a full and complete paint job (which includes under hood, door jams, trunk, etc.) and around 1-2k for just the exterior. Also the price depends on what color. If you really want to get it done on matter what you would probably be better off checking at a custom paint shop for a lower price, but you may not get the exact color code that Ford uses. But if it is black, it won't be too different.
