Did you take those pics just for this??? Seriously, if you really need to take it off... also wrap masking tape around the bottom a couple of times and you can avoid scratching the base (with the proper wrench). But there's no need to take it off for a car wash... the best way to apply Zaino car wash is with a sponge and water.

(I take my antenna off when I put my cover on. It's just easier than finding the hole with the grommet for the antenna when I have the cover all folded up. that's the only reason I take it off)

Now i have a new question though...
Has anyone considered an antenna deleat? I dont have my stang yet but i might consider it. any how-to's? have step by step like the remove for the deleat would be AWSOME!!!

I am pretty sure several folks have done a delete, putting a window antenna in. I would like to see something on moving the antenna to the rear, or better, putting a retractable on the rear...

There are other posts on the delete. One I saw, the guy removed it, had the fender filled in and painted. Looked sharp. Just use the search feature. Maybe we need a step by step on the search feature.
Personally, I'd like to change it to chrome in keeping with my 68/05 blending theme.
