Red Calipers?

Just got my 18" chrome bullits installed on my '05 GT vert.... love them except for the ugly rotors that now show through. I am leaning towards painting them red. What is your opinion about painting calipers for a black mustang... do you like the look of red calipers? I know this is subjective and everyone will have an opinion... hoping to stir some of those up here.

I'd like to see some rotors painted black on a black stang. What kind of paint do you use though?

G2 paint kit or Dupli color. Although I've heard better things from the G2 kit. Try and do a search on the forums for the G2 kit. Lotsa good info on them

Show off.

Still looking sweet Dave.

My car should be getting a makeover this fall. Just spent $600 at Moss, plus some other goodies.

I think red is a time tested classic look for calipers.

You can't go wrong with the duplicolor kit.
Very easy.
Hardest part is waiting a day to drive so the paint cures.

Leo_06GT painted his black. This is the best pic I could find of it. Might PM him for a close up.

ok, I'm sold.
Next question is where can I get a custom decal for them? I'd like to get something that reads "Shelby" or "GT500" or something like that. (yes I am doing a conversion).

Xenonmods used to have a sweet mustang decal set, but Ford cracked down on them.

It looks like they have sort of a work around.
On their site there is a click button under the Mustang Decal heading that takes you to a page where you can pick the letters yourself.

So, you can get a mustang decal without them actually selling a mustang decal so to speak

Thanks for posting the pics of the black calipers. They look sweet! I think I might go with this. I just added some black bullitts today, and painting the calipers black would add an extra level of pure evil!

good points... how do the decals work? Are they just stickers or are they stencils for painting?
