rear window louver question

I'm kind of tossing up the idea of whether or not to go with rear window louvers. We had some on a Mercury Capri in the 80's and they tended to rattle and were hard to clean. I know that they had to have made advances over the years, so my question is which brand is the best to go with? Also looking for some that have a fairly low profile. Thanks.

mine are pretty quiet for the most part. Maybe over some of the bigger bumps I do hear it making some noise

Try MRT louvers, I've had them since they went on the market, very easy to install, and looks great. No noise, you do have to watch going through a brushless car wash though.

I bought mine from Roush. They look great, do not rattle, are hindged to allow easy cleaning of the rear window, have very secure locking on each lower corner and are welded aluminum, but are a bit spendy. My wife and I installed them and they fit perfect. I also purchased the Roush side window louvers and the slats align exactly with the rear slats. I looked at all the other units on the market and decided that the extra cost was worth it.

GG

I always hold my breath going thru the drying stage of the carwash. (I rarely use drive-thru's)

Automatic carwashes would be a concern. Does anyone have a rear louver and feel like it's solid enough not to be worried about it?
