Installed!!!

Well here goes the pictures, sorry but its like 2 degrees outside and dark. So couldnt exactly get great pictures but heres some of the girdle and the sway bars and rotors installed. Whats the best grease you can get for these new bushings on the upgraded roll bars. thanks for any hints.

p.s. Oh yah they gave me a 6 cyl convertible while waiting on the car, not the best but not too shabby either for a rental.

p.p.s. after taking these pictures and looking at them, it appears there is a small leak either from the front pinion seal or the rear end cover, looks like there going to be fixing that too,LOL. Oh well we all make mistakes. As long as they fix this stuff no biggie.

p.p.p.s Well I just got back from the dealer, they are going to fix whatever leak it is. According to them the factory has modified the computers after 05 to not be able to make gear changes with there ids computer system. So they are looking into ordering me a pro cal tool to get the speedo right. Of course I didnt tell them I could already do that with my sct x2, afterall thats why I paid them the big bucks to get it right. So I will wait and see, this may turn out to be a pretty good deal after all, lol. I will update when I get my car back again.

Nice. Did those links come with the rear sway bar? They look like billet. They look much better than the wimpy stock links. Any idea who makes the FRPP sway bar kit, is it Steeda?

Those Billet Brackets came with the kit, front and rear swaybar ford racing kit. Comes with a big bag of brackets, grease etc. I just ordered the normal kit and thats what came with them for the rear, but the front are nicer, but arent billet. I am loving the feeling of the car. Much tighter. What I want to know is will the front billet brackets from steeda fit these. I tried contacting them about it and they did not send a reply. I have the front bar in the middle hole for now. I was told that was the best position for street with not too many mods. Nice and tight and the 3.73 gears are amazing. I am loving it. I have been gone for like 6 days in new orleans and havent been able to drive it, its going to be fun even if its in the snow, LOL. Freezing here in missouri.

Can someone school me on why you would want to go with a aftermarket differential cover? I would think that it would be more of function than apperance?

Thanks

1. Strenghth: Factory diff cover is barely as thick as a coke can. A thicker cover increases the strenghth of your rear end.
2. Function: Most aftermarket ones add a drain and fill plug to change your fluid without removing and re-sealing the whole cover.
3. Appearance: If anyone is ever under your car, they will be mesmerized by the shiney diff cover!

and if you're me, all of the above, plus you damaged your factory diff cover when jacking up the car!

yes this differntial cover can be left just like stock, or can be functional with the additional stud kit. It ties the carrier bearings from the rear end to the cover itself adding strength etc. good luck. I love it.

Why would not the thicker cover give some more strength anyway or is it the support of the carrier bearing housing by the cover?

All of the 8.8 covers(Summit,Trickflow) will work if you use the BMR or like product panhard bar relocation bracket, if you don't the panhard will rub on the bearing cap adjuster bolts.

Or go with the specific 8.8, 05-07 Mustang cover, which for some reason is about $50-$70 more than the generics.

It is more because it is designed to clear the bars without new brackets would be my guess as well as its ford not the others as you mentioned.

Bingo, the reason for the extra cost is its being sold by Ford, it won't be long before the aftermarket makes a specific cover for the 05-07 Mustangs and the price will be lower than something sold by Ford.

Well just for a heads up for anyone that is going to purchase this or any ford racing part, you may want to compare prices with johnbleakleyford, they are an online ford racing parts seller, I have not found anyone else to have any ford racing part cheaper, so if you want to save some cash please compare before you go elsewhere, I have tried sending as many people there as I can, I have saved a lot of money on all my ford racing stuff, exhausts, swaybars, girdle, etc etc. Good luck all
