[/quote]I will take the other side of this discussion. I think you can do just the back if you do it in flat black. For me, when you do it that way it matches the grill in front which is also flat black. I did end up putting flat black stripes on my hood but I think your car would look fine with just the tail light panel blacked out. Not sure about that gloss black though...

does anyone have a MG with the back painted flat black????

I wonder if it would look weird or unfinished if the back were done but not the hood or sides or something else.
I did the back because it cost $30 for the vynl and $0.00 for the spoiler (swap out). But I don't have a job so I haven't had the money to complete the front yet.

So here's what it looks like with the back done, but not the front. I can't wait to finsh the front.

I just photoshopped my white GT with a blackout panel......really seriously thinking of doing this.....looks sharp!!
Can't decide if I want solid or separate panels.

Just a thought of going with lines parallel to the inner edges of the break lights

Graphics express offers the separate panels.

I personally prefer the solid panel. However if the separate panels were in a reflective red it might look similar to the concept tail lights.

Hey Guys....
Thanks for the input on the blackout panel......I can't make up my mind which I like best.....I'll have to think on it some. Hubby says whatever I like is fine with him.
I ran across the separate panels on Graphic Express and really liked them. They said they were easier to install than the solid piece.

The Matte finish looks great! That's the only way to go on a black car like mine!
