Racing Stripe Installer So Cal
Does anyone know of any decal companies that can cut/install racing stripes in Southern California?
I was thinking about buying a set off of ebay, but I don't feel comfortable with intalling the stripes on my own.
thanks a lot,
mikey

Here another suggestion:
Buy the kit from Baltimore Street Mods
and go to your local Ford Dealer and have them do it or have them recommend you to a collison shop they deal with on an everyday basis.
Thats what happened to me, I went to the Ford dealer 2 miles down the road from my house and they said they cant do that kind of work because they dont have a body shop. Instead any kind of body work needed to be worked on by the Ford Dealer was sent to this collision center 5 miles down the road, and thats how I got hooked up with a fantastic stripe job! The collision co. does the work for the Ford Dealer.

FYI.... I went over to Sticker City (I live 20 sesconds away, literllay) and was quoted the price of $690 installed. He showed me pics of a red Mustang with black stripes and I'm assuming that was yours subzer05. I forgot to mention your name, but I'm not going to have it stripped until I get my suspension and CDC chin spoiler on. Did he reomove your nozzles, gas cap and bumpers for the install? They look very proffesional and look like they know what they are doing. I asked him about doing it myself and the difficulty level and he said it would take a full 12 hours for a beginner and that it wasn't easy. They also sale kits for $120 made of 3M material.
I put my own on very easy to put 6 piece kit on. Make sure it is warm enough out or use hair dryer to get trunk stripes to sit right. Truck is only hard part. Install time less than 3 hours tops. Larger stripes may take longer. Precut OEM Ford stripes very easy to install and I am not a mechanic. Dont buy stripes from Bones enterprised on Ebay ripoff..
Found a striper in Long Beach. He sells kits off of ebay. Judging from the feedback I think he has decent quality kits and from the pictures it looks like the guy does good work. I got a quote of about 300 dollars for the installation at an estimate of 5 hours with 2 people doing the installation. Here is a link to his ebay store: http://stores.ebay.com/High-Performance-Decals. I hope this helps someone out there. the pictures on his ads look terrific.

Hey Mikey, let me know if you end up using this guy. I have been in contact with him too about the Eleanor stripes and was quoted $500. He told me he has striped Mustangs for Pacific Ford in Long Beach, but no Stangs are available at the dealership for close examination of his work.

I've got declas form High performance off ebay before, very nice. i got corvette in flames for my vettes windshield, I had to custom mod it, b/c it was a straight decal, and my windshield is curved, buto ther than tht, the quality of the vinyl is awsum, still stuck on there, after 2.5 years, and still shines like chrome. ( igot chrome)
I called him today and left a message, but got no response. Maybe we could do our own little group buy/install from this guy. So far its ghettoboy, tacobill and myself who are interested. I know I want them for sure, how about you guys? Even if we could save $1 that would be cool. What do you think?

Well, before considering him, would very much like to see his workmanship in person.
Remember what recently happened to our fellow TMS member, albireo?
Let me refresh your memory.. http://www.pbase.com/albireo/stripe_disaster

BTW if anything goes on with the Longbeach place, id be up for it, i live 20 min from it and my bro goes to college out there, so he'd be able to find it (im horrible with directions and freeways)

Yes that is my car. I installed the CDC chin and street scene rear valance so I needed to have him re-stripe parts of the car to bring everything together. Andy does exceptional work and I highly recommend them. That is a very decent price on the kit & Install. I know first hand dealers charge like $1500 to do it which of course is wayyy over priced. Tell him Chris from B&M referred you when you go back and see if he will give you a bit more off...wouldn't hurt

Still no response from the guy from Long Beach , and yes I would want to see what kind of work he does before he does my car. I doubt anyone would cut the vinyl directly on my car though. Chris, I'll drop your name next time I go back there. Maybe all you guys out there would want to try sticker city with me. I'll ask him if we can get a group thing going over here

I too didn't have any luck when e-mailing him directly. But, if you log onto ebay and go to one of his auctions, click 'ask seller a question', he's always answered this way of e-mail.
