Does the ring on the back that holds the tip in place rotate so that the nut can be moved on top or even better come off so they can be tacked on? Thx~

I am looking at mine that I have not installed yet, and it is spot welded to it in one spot. Hope that helps.

Yes that's correct but my stock tips were welded on all the way around - not just tack welded on.

I would like to see a picture of someone's car with the OEM tips at about ground level. I don't want the clamp to show at all.
