Talking pulled the trigger on razors 20x9 now need tires...

Hi guys, I finally made a decision of buying the shelby razors (grey ones) on tire rack

20"x9" 40 mm offset.

now I was thinking about the tires, I am going to get them more than likely form discount tires.

I've been thinking about these options, but I am open to opinions since you guys already purchased rims and tires...

option 1 - 265/35 20"ZR Nittos NT 555 all around
pros: cheaper, can rotate all 4 of them between them total cost of tires: $708

option 2 - 265/35 20"ZR Nittos NT 555 front / 275/35 20"ZR Nittos NT 555 rear.
Pros: wider on rear, 6mm taller behind. cost: $880

option 3 - 265/35 20"ZR Nittos NT 555 front / 285/30 20"ZR Nittos NT 555 rear.
pros: even wider on rear, but LOWER 14mm smaller total. will help with my retarded 3:31 rear end also to lower acceleration times I guess.. cost: $892

265's 694mm tall
275's 700mm tall
285's 680mm tall

the diff is less than 200 bucks.

I guess I will have to install sensors and maybe they'll charge me for putting them together and balance them...

Any feed back will be appreciated.

the closest fit to original, would be option 1... but again, if I am spending this much, it is not to look original..

I should be receiving the wheels from tire rack tomorrow...

depends on how much and how you drive. For me, the ability to rotate was most important, so I went with 265/35 on all 4. A slighty taller tire in the rear would look better, I must admit.

what do you guys think about the 40mm offset?
I kind of liked them better with 24mm offset, but i heard the 40mm was made specially for the 05+ mustangs...
for the ones that have already these wheels, could you put a few pics here to see them? specifying the tire and wheel size and offset?

I am guessing option 2 also...

You can get away with the 265 or 275 but not the 285 on a 9" wide rim. Nitto recommends a 9.5" rim for both the 265 & 275. If you must, go with the 265 on all 4 sides.

You could always send them back and get a set with 9's in the front and 10s in the back. Then you could go to a 295 in the rear.

im going to go with some 20s, was always against them and would have been happy with 18s with lots of rubber but i couldnt pass up a deal on the 20s. my thing is, looking at the pics the tires dont seem to have much of a sidewall, im not a big fan of not having a decent sidewall ... any help on tire sizes would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance
o yah 20x9 btw on all 4 corners

I'd go with 265's if I could do it over again...255's are what's recomended by manufacturer, but litttle extra meat of the 265 looks better.

Then get 40 series tires. I'm not sure 265-40-20 is a common size, but 255 and 275 are widely available.

mine are gun metal, not silver or chrome, I think they'll look nice in my white pony.

one other question, the 265's are 99w and the 275's are 102w what does this mean?

I checked the Nitto web page, true the max I can go on these wheels is 275/35/20

I guess optin 2 will be the way to go

Here is my car with 20" x 9" Shelby Razors +24 mm offset and Nitto
extreme 555 275/35 20 tires. I wanted a little extra sidewall .. car is also lowered with Saleen srpings. No rubbing at all.
