price quote big difference

So my car got keyed on the hood and the front quater pannel

I decided to turn a bad thoing into a good thing and go all out on my car
So i bought a cdc chin spoiler and roush rear spoiler

I went to get price quotes to have my black stang have
lehmans racing stripes both spoilers painted and installed and hood and quarter pannel fixed

Got price quotes of 1800 all the way up to 2600
thats a big difference
Does anyone know if LImustang is reputablet?
a 800 dollar differnce aint chump change not sure what to go with any advice?

Go with whomever does the best work. Highest price doesn't always equal best work, but it often does. Did they give you breakdowns or just lump sum prices. If you have a breakdown see how many hours each carried for the work. Then compare their hourly rates. I know it's not chump change, but paint work isn't something you want to skimp on. Check out their work and ask around. Drop by on a Friday when they usually have customer cars ready for pick-up so you can see their work firsthand.

You could always buy a Take-Off Hood to lessen the price.....

That would have to be one cheap hood.

If you can scan and post the estimates I can take a look at them. Prices mean nothing w/ out knowing what they're based on. And price means nothing as compared to the quality of work.

I think you can get a takeoff hood for $399. plus shipping. Still a good deal I think.

Then that hood would have to have 10hrs worth of damage to make it worth it.

I bought a new takeoff hood from Steeda and I paid $50.00. shipping may be $100.00 but that should help.

What shop has $40/hr. paint rates? They're more than double that in my area.

Body labor to repair the scratch. The shop's going to sand and reclear the entire panel if he's adding stripes whether it's keyed or not. If the take off is a different color then they're also going to need to paint the underside. I'm not looking to make this difficult or too technical, just saying that a new take off hood would not be cost effective.

I'm guessing the suggestion for a take-off would be for a like color take-off, otherwise I agree it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
