I know that the offsets are different on the 05+ Mustangs but I've seen pics of new GTs wearing wheels from earlier Mach 1 and Cobra cars. What I was wondering was, would you need to use wheel spacers to fit the earlier wheels or is the offset such that you'd need "negative spacers", ie: machine some meat off of the inside of the wheel hub, in order for them to sit in the wheelwell properly.
Any thoughts?

LOL, I don't think that removing "meat" from the inside of the wheel hubs would be a real good move. As time goes bye more and more new wheels and replicas are being offered to fit the '05/'06 models.
Also, there are manufacturers like American Racing and a few others that will provide the correct off-set if you place an order and wait for them.
