When Mustangs came out with shakers in the late 60's, lots said Powered by Ford somewhere, whether it was on the hood, shaker, or usually valve covers.
He is not putting that there to just let us know what kind of engine he has, it is a throwback to the days when Stangs really had shakers and "Powered by Ford" on them.
I think it is awesome and ties in with the theme...Maybe these new age stang guys dont get it?

So do the letters belong there? There isn't a right or wrong, it's pure personal taste.
I've decided to keep it... at least for the time being.
On the road, it really isn't visible as it's flat on the hood. Only trucks really get a good look at it. I'll wait to see what kind of comments I get at a few local car shows. Even though the hood will be up, people walk around the car and will see it.
It is different and isn't really that "busy". I guy at work has something written next to his fake scoop and tribal flames all over the hood... that's kinda "busy".
Thanks for all the comments and opinions and votes. Keep them coming if you want... I like to hear what y'all think!

I had "281" emblems on my scoop, but just didn't like them that much:

It's your car, your call! I voted "no" - I don't like "powered by..." stickers on any car, to me that spells "rice". Also, it's not like you are going to pop the hood and find an Oldsmobile engine in there, I think that most of us assume that a Ford just happens to be powered by Ford.
Just personal preference! It's a beautiful car! Love the clear front turn signal lights.
If you like them, keep them! It's your right as an American.
